Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 26, 2026
ATLAS (the “Service”) includes a web app (the “Dashboard”) and a browser extension (the “ATLAS Extension”) that lets you capture, structure and retrieve your conversations with AI assistants.
1. Data controller
The data controller is Atlas (useatlas.space). For any privacy question, you can contact us.
2. Data we process
Depending on your usage, we may process the following categories:
- Account & license data : user identifier, plan, usage counters, and the Extension API key (stored in the browser to enable sync).
- Captured content : the text of AI conversations you choose to capture, plus related metadata (platform, capture date, source URL, message count).
- Generated data : concepts (semantic anchors), tasks (action vectors), summaries/metrics (e.g. compression ratio) produced during analysis.
- Technical data : technical logs required for security and proper operation (e.g. sync errors). We do not aim to collect sensitive data.
3. Purposes
- Provide capture, sync and session browsing features.
- Manage access (authentication) and your license (plan and quotas).
- Ensure security, prevent fraud and diagnose technical incidents.
- Improve the Service (aggregated metrics and user feedback).
4. Legal basis
Depending on the context, processing is based on contract performance (providing the Service), your consent (e.g. when you trigger a capture), and/or our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention).
5. Sharing & processors
We do not sell your data. We may use service providers (hosting, databases, billing, analytics) acting as processors, only to provide the Service. Any transfers outside the EU (when applicable) are governed by appropriate safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses).
6. Retention
- Sessions and captured content : kept while your account is active or until you delete it.
- License data : kept during the contractual relationship and as required by legal obligations.
- Technical logs : kept for a limited period, proportionate to security and diagnostic needs.
7. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data (access controls, encryption in transit, permission minimization, error monitoring). No system is infallible: if you suspect an incident, contact us.
8. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, rectification, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, and object to certain processing. To exercise your rights, contact us.
9. Children
The Service is not intended for minors. If you believe a minor provided data, contact us.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The “last updated” date will be updated, and material changes may be notified via the Dashboard.
